"Get your weapons ready, now we're really starting." - Maddox the Slayer
No, you didn't read the title wrong. Everything is 100% accurate. SkyBlock Season 2: Part 1 is here.
What's the deal with these seasons?
We change "Seasons" every now and then for major updates in SkyBlock. During these changes, there are no resets or any loss of progress. Our server production team is very small (2 people...) and we try to focus on quality in our in-game content, so updates and new content being added usually take a long time to develop.
On CraftersMC's 1st anniversary, we didn't want to leave you without an update, so we divided SkyBlock seasons into parts. As a result, we hope that the release intervals of updates will be slightly shorter and that we will have more opportunities to add content more frequently.
What does Season 2: Part 1 include?
Season 2: Part 1 primarily consists of Slayer Quests. We know you want to punch your screen for details and news, so let's start with the patch notes!Slayer Quests!
Slayer Quests involve killing mobs of a specific type to spawn a strong boss, then slaying that boss.Defeating slayer bosses grants players the Slayer XP of the quest type. Reaching higher levels of slayers in various types unlocks more powerful item recipes and more valuable drops from bosses.
The drops of the slayer bosses will always drop to the ground regardless of the Auto-Inventory enchantment, while being visible only to the quest owner.
You can start slayer quests by talking to Maddox the Slayer in the Village, where you can also get quest rewards and access all the details of slayer quests.
Zombie Slayer
After starting a Zombie Slayer quest, you have to hunt zombie-typed mobs worth the Combat XP specified when starting the quest. When you reach the required Combat XP, a powerful boss trapped between life and death named the Revenant Horror will spawn at your location. You can get Zombie Slayer XP and rare drops by slaying this boss.
Current Zombie Slayer quest tiers:
- Revenant Horror I
- Revenant Horror II
- Revenant Horror III
- Revenant Horror IV
The quest will fail if the boss is not slayed within a certain time after being summoned or if the quest owner dies. Up to 3 players can damage a slayer boss.
Mini-bosses may spawn with low chance while hunting zombies to reach the required Combat XP, when a slayer quest is active. Although these creatures are not as strong as the Revenant Horrors, they give much more Combat XP and are stronger than regular zombies.
Here are some example crafting recipes for a few items unlocked as Zombie Slayer level rewards:
You can discover a lot of new items like these in the game!
Wolf Slayer
After starting a Wolf Slayer quest, you have to hunt wolf-typed mobs worth the Combat XP specified when starting the quest. When you reach the required Combat XP, a powerful boss that destroys its opponents even though it has lost its power in mystical times, named Fenrir Packmaster will spawn at your location. You can get Wolf Slayer XP and rare drops by slaying this boss.
Current Wolf Slayer quest tiers:
- Fenrir Packmaster I
- Fenrir Packmaster II
- Fenrir Packmaster III
- Fenrir Packmaster IV
The quest will fail if the boss is not slayed within a certain time after being summoned or if the quest owner dies. Up to 3 players can damage a slayer boss.
Mini-bosses may spawn with low chance while hunting wolves to reach the required Combat XP, when a slayer quest is active. Although these creatures are not as strong as the Fenrir Packmasters, they give much more Combat XP and are stronger than regular wolves.
